A new IWMI project supported by Enabel aims to create a transboundary citizen science network across southern Africa, using digital tools to collect data that will influence policy decisions that directly affect their communities.
IWMI is working closely with stakeholders such as the Limpopo Watercourse Commission (LIMCOM) to design the system for citizen science to be included in the Limpopo River Basin Digital Twin, and the incentives for communities to participate.
